Making Schools Safer
The Ross Township Board of Trustees and the Ross Local School District Board of Education are proud to announce that they have combined efforts to share in the cost of one School Resource Police Officer for the Ross Local Schools. The presence of school resource officers in schools has become an important part of the duty to protect children on campus. The School Resource Officer (SRO) program is a collaborative effort between Ross Police and Ross School District educators, students, parents, and the Ross community. The goal of the SRO program is to provide a safe learning environment in our schools, provide valuable resources to school staff, foster a positive relationship with our students, and develop strategies to resolve problems affecting the student body with the goal of protecting every child so they can reach their fullest potential.
