HAMILTON NEW LONDON ROAD CLOSING
Ross Township
The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Hamilton New London Road will close approximately 0.2 miles east of Herman Road and 0.6 miles west of U.S. 27 for road slip repairs beginning Monday, August 19, 2024. Utilizing drilled shafts, the contractor will stabilize the existing pavement and embankment of the road, requiring a full road closure to all through traffic. Hamilton New London Road is scheduled to reopen by September 27, 2024.
This project is the first of four road slip repairs in a $1.6 million multi-project contract awarded to Alan Stone Company and funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC). Other road slip repair locations included in the contract are Elk Creek Road in Madison Township, Schradin Road in Morgan Township, and West Chester Road in West Chester Township. All repairs will be completed by the end of this year.
Detour: Eastbound Hamilton New London Road traffic will detour northwest on Layhigh Road, east on Kirchling Road, and southeast on U.S. 27. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
Motorists are encouraged to check the BCEO website and PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
