The Ross Township Fire Department is a progressive and growing fire department in Butler County Ohio.  The Department is a combination department consisting of a full-time Fire Chief, a part-time Assistant Chief, two part-time Captains,  four part-time Lieutenants, and 33 part-time firefighter/paramedic/EMT.  The Fire department is accepting apllications for an eligibility list for the position of Full-time firefighter/Paramedic.  This position will work a 24/48 hour schedule (53 hour work week) as assigned.

All applicants are subject to the selection process.  To be considered, the applicant shall have a high school diploma or GED, valid Ohio drivers license, and be at least 18 years old.  Applicant is required to be certified as a State of Ohio Paramedic, State of Ohio Level II firefighter, ACLS and CPR certified at time of appointment.  State of Ohio fire safety inspector certification is desired.  Successful candidates will be required to obtain State of Ohio fire safety inspector certification within two years from appointment, and to be able to operate all RTFD apparatus within one year from appointment, as well as other specialty courses as required.

Upon completion of the entry level exam, all candidate scores are forwarded to the Ross Township Fire Department.  Candidates who attain a passing score on the entry level exam will be placed on the department eligibility list.  Ross Township Fire Department will contact candidates on the list and invite them to continue to participate in the other stages of the selection process.
